Flux for the soldering of Stainless Steel

PROTINFLUX 1420 - Flux for the soldering of Stainless Steel

Corrosive flux, intended for the soldering of tinned stainless steels. This flux allows a good adherence on the metal. It is formulated from acids without halides in aqueous solution. Without chlorides, it doesn’t cause any later corrosion on stainless steels.

CHARACTERISTICS

Liquid flux with a free of halides acids basis. The main chemical and physical properties are :

  • from clear colorless to light yellow liquid
  • Density at 20 ° C = 1.38 g/cm3
  • pH < 2

APPLICATION

This flux is particularly used for the brazing of tinned stainless steels with Tin/Lead brazing SnPb 32/67 (rods, bolt ….)

USING INSTRUCTIONS

This flux must be used pure on the surface of the pieces to be soldered. After cleaning and removing grease of the piece to be soldered, spread the flux with a brush. Heat the pieces until the melting of the filler metal. After soldering, wipe with a wet cloth.
