On the COS machine, lugs cleaning can be suppressed, what in some cases (E.g. manual brushing of big plates) is a great improvement of the process.

This flux is intended to protect the lugs from corrosion and lead oxide deposits. It is used after mechanical cleaning of the lugs and before pasting
The stocking Fluxak 1017 is to be used pure. The lugs impregnated are stocked. In order to get the best protection, the flux must be perfectly dried before pasting with lead oxide. On the pasting machine, washing sprays can ensure a perfect lugs cleaning before the drying oven.
