Soldering flux for cast-on-strap (COS) process

FLUXAK 1072 - Soldering flux for cast-on-strap (COS) process

Fluxak 1072, intended for battery manufacturing in COS process, is totally eliminated when dipped into the lead bath. The flux is formulated from pure organic compounds (in water solution). It is eliminated by sublimation in the range of temperatures where lead and alloys used for batteries manufacturing melt. Since no combustion residues remain after soldering (casting), problems linked to conductivity (selfdischarge) and corrosion are solved when using this technology.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

It is an organic flux, formulated for the manufacture of accumulators and security dry batteries. It is intended for the soldering of heavy metals: lead, tin-lead on automatic production lines of plate-components kits - for starter batteries, calcium- lead or antimony-lead. It has also been specially designed for the soldering of the plate/connector lugs in the C.O.S. process, and for thick plates in the manufacture of stationary batteries where the lack of residue avoids discharge problems.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The flux must be used undiluted on the surface of the lugs by dipping or impregnation.
