Soldering flux for cast-on-strap (COS) process

FLUXAK 1029 - Soldering flux for cast-on-strap (COS) process

Due to its specific formulation FLUXAK 1029 has a greater pickling power for lead calcium as well as lead antimony alloys. The diffusion of the flux by capillarity is regulated by its low ‘wettability’ on the pieces. This property avoids pollution of the plates and therefore the risk of selfdischarge is suppressed.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

MAIN COMPOUNDS
Brominated amine salts.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance : Colourless liquid
Density : 1.25 g/cm3
pH : 1

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
Organic flux with good pickling power and is totally eliminated at the welding temperature. Non foaming flux with poor wetting ability.

PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

FLUXAK 1029 is a multi purpose flux for small batteries where low capillary action is required.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

FLUXAK 1029 is always used undiluted and the quantity of flux deposed onto the lugs is very small. Whenever fluxing processes are involved (either dipping or with an impregnated sponge) the lugs are fluxed with great precision. The level of flux impregnation should not be more than 1-2mm maximum. The machines must be equipped with a stainless steel appropriated system of fluxing or with a resin tank.

USING CARE AND RECOMMENDATIONS
